Eric Carr, born Paul Charles Caravello on July 12, 1950, was an American musician best known as the drummer for the rock band Kiss from 1980 until his death in 1991. Carr joined Kiss after the departure of original drummer Peter Criss, bringing a distinct style that blended hard rock with elements of heavy metal. He contributed to the band’s albums during a pivotal era, including "Music from ‘The Elder’" (1981), "Creatures of the Night" (1982), and "Animalize" (1984). Carr was also known for his character "The Fox," which added a new visual dynamic to the band's iconic stage presence. His energetic drumming and songwriting contributions helped revitalize Kiss during the 1980s, a time when they were transitioning away from their original glam metal sound. In addition to his work with Kiss, Carr released solo material and worked with various artists, showcasing his versatility. His untimely death from cancer on November 24, 1991, marked the end of an era for Kiss.
